ASAP FARM TOUR
September 20 & 21, 2025
Saturday & Sunday Noon to 5pm
Yes! It's almost here. Purchase a pass and take your family or car load of friends on an ag-venture! Lots of great WNC farms on the tour. We will have all the regular goodness plus some extra's for tour goers only. See the schedule below for ASAP Farm Tour specific events on each day.

SATURDAY, SEPTMEBER 20th

Noon -12:45ish - All about Cheddar with a Vertical Tasting
Learn from the makers the basics behind cheddar cheesemaking and enjoy a vertical tasting of Looking Glasses version of a classic milled cheddar, aka Drovers Rd. It's amazing what difference a few days makes (or a year!). Try the cheese from fresh curds, a few months old to fully developed and aged out wheels and see how the flavor evolves.

2pm to 3pm - Walk-About with Farmer Andy
We are a seasonal, farmstead dairy and cheesemaking operation. Come find out what all that means and how our seasonality flows throughout the farm. Meet our pastured & forest dwelling pigs, walk the hilltop pasture with beautiful mountain views and meet a few up close and personal of our bovine friends. Walk through shady woods and sunny pastures. This is a long ramble over varied ground, good shoes required.

4pm to 5pm - Migratory Bird Watching Walk
Fall is the perfect time for migratory bird watching. Sneak over to the other side of the farm with experienced birder (& former LGC Cheese Monger!) Liz Payne. See the creek restoration area and the native trees flourishing on the restored banks. This area is full of local avian residents and migratory birds stopping to rest on their long journey. Bring good shoes and your own Binocs. This is a hike up and down significant hills.

Noon to 5pm - On going Kids Activity Table
Find it near the goat pen. Keep kids minds and bodies active with hands-on crafts and fun things to do.  Intended for the under 8 set. Organized and led by an experienced early childhood educator.
