Welcome to the Farm! Bringing people here to enjoy the food we make onsite is the most important part of our business. Visit year round and enjoy our cheese, preserves, and hard cider. Our cafe is a super popular local spot to grab a cheese board or grilled cheese sandwich with a scoop of ice cream for dessert. Our grilled cheese sandwiches are made on local bread with seasonal ingredients cooked up right here.

As a hard cider producer, we are also a licensed winery. Enjoy a glass here on tap or take a crowler home to enjoy. We also serve small estate wines by the glass and bottle. We offer a relaxing space, great service and a knowledgeable staff. 

We are always busy working so we don't have time for official tours but grab a map and take yourself on a self guided tour. Check out a cheese cellar when you peek underground through a plate glass window at rows and rows of cheese aging away or see the production floor through windows too. Visit the garden, say hello to the goats or amble along the trails and roads of the farm. If it isn't crazy busy, our helpful staff is happy to talk cheese, cider, and farming. We always offer free samples of everything we make (cheese, cider, ice cream and jam). It's an informal tasting as time allows. 

There are events and upick sunflowers at different times of the year. Bring your friends and family, there is something for all ages. Well behaved dogs on leash are welcome. No need for reservations. 


*Keep in mind that we stop taking orders for prepared food at 4:30pm. So get there by 4:30 if you want to order a cheeseboard or grilled cheese sandwich. *

  • August 28th - Old Dairy Social - Green Creek Get Together

    Grab your guitar and a couple friends! We are so excited to bring back this awesome community music night. This event is free to perform or attend but we are requiring everyone to sign up on our website by clicking on the "buy tickets" button but don't worry, it's free. If you list yourself as a performer, we will be in touch with your slotted time. All levels and ages of performers welcome. Come share your talent with the community, we want to hear a song or two from you!

  • September 2 - Mum's The Word

    The Fall CooperRiis Fundraiser is here and we're selling beautiful fall mums grown in Mill Spring at CooperRiis. Want a large quantity for a mass display or first pick of all the varieties? Pre-order here by clicking on Buy Tickets then Checkout where you will be able to select Medium or Large plants. We should have mums for a couple more weeks after that in the store, no pre-order required just stop by the store. Cost $10 for medium plants and $20 for large (4 plants in each 3 gallon pot). The color options are beautiful, not like the box stores! And 75% of the cost goes directly to their Scholarship fund.

  • September 10th - Pesto & Pasta Cooking Class

    Join Lindsey from NC Extension for an educational and fun cooking experience! Learn about our cheeses and how to use them in delicious and healthy recipes. Grab a friend and come cook at the farm.

  • September 19th - Rock the Chamber Music Festival

    We are hosting the Foothills Chamber of Commerce for a special musical event, featuring live music, a vendor market, libations, food trucks and more! Ticket sales open soon!

  • October 1st-11th - Sunflower Daze

    The Sunflowers you all know and love! We will be hosting a number of pick-your-own days as well as special evening events and photo sessions. Get in touch for more information!

  • TBD - Ice Cream Social: Tye Dye Discovery

    Another great kid-friendly afternoon! Come enjoy an ice cream cone and make a tye dye t-shirt to take home with you. Be sure to wear clothes that can get a little messy!
